You can always count on liberals and socialists to do the exact opposite of the smartest, most productive thing.

They have not let us down (in the predictability of that trend, at least) in voting Friday for the cap and trade global warming tax, the biggest tax the American people were ever gouged with.

While these socialists run willy-nilly in hysteria over a problem that does not exist, the evidence keeps mounting that global warming is not a man-made problem, but is a natural and cyclic phenomenon…and more and more people are recognizing it all the time.

So while they were out to socialist lunch, this comes from the Timaru Times as reprinted by the Hawaiii Free Press:

Climate change will be considered a joke in five years time, meteorologist Augie Auer told the annual meeting of Mid Canterbury Federated Farmers in Ashburton (New Zealand) this week. Man’s contribution to the greenhouse gases was so small we couldn’t change the climate if we tried, he maintained.

“We’re all going to survive this. It’s all going to be a joke in five years,” he said.

Knowing how adept socialists are at denying reality and how doggedly socialists cling to their discredited faith, it may take longer than 5 years (because the “mainstream” media is comprised mostly of socialists, and they control most of the flow of information), but Auer is absolutely correct.

Water vapour was responsible for 95 per cent of the greenhouse effect, an effect which was vital to keep the world warm, he explained.

“If we didn’t have the greenhouse effect the planet would be at minus 18 deg C but because we do have the greenhouse effect it is plus 15 deg C, all the time.”

The other greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen dioxide, and various others including CFCs, contributed only five per cent of the effect, carbon dioxide being by far the greatest contributor at 3.6 per cent.

However, carbon dioxide as a result of man’s activities was only 3.2 per cent of that, hence only 0.12 per cent of the greenhouse gases in total. Human-related methane, nitrogen dioxide and CFCs etc made similarly minuscule contributions to the effect: 0.066, 0.047, and 0.046 per cent respectively.

And as I have long pointed out, both common sense and the strongest information points toward natural causes:

  • Climate evidence going back thousands of years in Greenland and other places show much warmer periods in our past
  • Temperature data tracks with solar activity, NOT human activity
  • Warming is occurring on other planets such as Mars and Jupiter(where there are no SUVS, coal power plants or capitalists) are also warming

It will take the voice of the American people to put some fear of job security into these socialists before they pull their heads out of…well, where every they have them, and stop treating the American people with more contempt than they do foreign dictators.

And with the latest round of Tea Parties gearing up for Independence Day, the  American people might just be poised to send them that wakeup call.

Augie Auer died over 2 years ago. So there is something off-beam about this article.

And for how long has Albert Einstein been dead?

Water certainly has great heat storage capacity. I would steer away from arguments like "it's so small it can't possibly have an effect" though in regards to CO2 levels and the effect people are having on this. That kind of talk discredits decent science; everything has an effect.
