Page 2 of 2 After all, less than two weeks prior, Gore ducked such questions from the New York Sun which reported on April 25 (emphasis added): Mr. Gore was not available for an interview yesterday on the food crisis, according to his spokeswoman. A spokesman for Mr. Gore’s public campaign to address climate change, the Alliance for Climate Protection, declined to comment for this article. For whatever reason, Gross didn’t address any of these pregnant issues with her guest, and instead, changed the subject: GROSS: You know, in your book you mention that you think Hurricane Katrina, convinced Americans to look differently at climate crisis . . . This led Gore to blame the recent cyclone in Burma on — wait for it! — global warming: And as we're talking today, Terry, the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on the, up there to much higher numbers now being speculated. And last year a catastrophic storm last fall hit Bangladesh. The year before, the strongest cyclone in more than 50 years hit China. And we're seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming.Fortunately, the folks at Investor’s Business Daily addressed this hypocrisy in an editorial published two days later (emphasis added): “Al Gore blames the Burma tragedy on global warming despite growing evidence to the contrary. Could the hype be related to his financial interests?”
You
bet it is, but don’t hold your breath waiting for the mainstream media
to notice, which in and of itself should make people shudder.
