As oil skyrockets under a Democratic Congress that promised to lower the price of oil in 2006, what is the chosen method of the imbeciles?

Pass a law and threaten to sue. Got that? We are going to sue OPEC.

They passed a law, too. It prohibits anybody from doing anything that might limit the supply of oil in an effort to keep prices high.

I assume there is a "present company excepted" clause in there somewhere. By law we cannot get to our own natural resources and those who passed these laws look to force other countries, by lawsuit, to produce more of theirs so we can buy it from them. Hammer, meet nail.

Furthermore, no group of people has been more responsible for the place we are in today regarding energy prices than the U.S. Congress and, more precisely, the Democrats and some Republicans who reside there.

And did you here the polar bear is now on the endangered species list? But Craig, you say, polar bear numbers are at all-time high since we've been counting them.

Yes, they are but they might, might, I tell you, be harmed by global warming. On which the science is settled.

The science is so settled that average global temperatures have actually declined since 1998, virtually eliminating the rise that has been touted as a reason to starve the poorer countries of the world and destroy capitalism.

And make no mistake about it, we are responsible for much of the rise in the price of food and we are starving the poor.

If the price of bread rises 13 cents that is no big deal here, but in a poor developing country it is the difference between life and death.

I bring all this up make the point that we stand on an abyss of epic proportions.

On the basis of the "science" behind climate change, science that, by definition cannot be proved or disproved as it can't be tested by any means in a laboratory, we are starving ourselves of the single most important contributor to the world's great progress.

The spice of life is oil and we have no alternative at this time that would support our current level of civilization. But maybe that is the point.

We have two choices in the upcoming election and we need to examine the differences between Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain's energy policies.

OK, done.

Now that that is out of the way it may just be moot anyway. Because as Obama said during his victory speech after clinching the Democratic nomination, we can look back on this day and see that this was the day the seas stopped rising.

And in a perfect rejoinder columnist Mark Steyn wrote: That way when Obama walks on water, he won't have to use a step ladder to get up on it. So, you know, problem solved.

This is why many of us skeptics say there is no scientific evidence of AGW. Science that can not be tested and verified is not science.
