Anyone have duct tape?
Global warming skeptics have been compared to holocaust deniers and sexual predators.
So, a few weeks ago, I asked how far we were from criminalization. Well, well, well...
It was reported in the London Guardian
that NASA Scientist James Hansen (pictured), in prepared remarks to a House
committee, "will today call for the chief executives of large fossil
fuel companies to be put on trial for high crimes against humanity and
nature, accusing them of actively spreading doubt about global warming
in the same way that tobacco companies blurred the links between
smoking and cancer."
I have a different vision of the future, one in which government
bureaucrats like Hansen and radical environmentalists are held
accountable for creating a multi-trillion dollar climate crisis in
order to get more government funding and grow their own political and
cultural influence.
Here are some interesting stats which certainly wouldn't seem to be
of much use to Mr. Hansen and the global warming alarmists. These are
worldwide temperature records. Look at the years in which these heat
records were set:
Africa: 136° El Azizia, Libya, September 22, 1922
North America: 134° Death Valley, CA, July 10, 1913
Asia: 129° Tirat Tsvi, Israel, June 21, 1942
Australia: 128° Cloncurry, Queensland, January 16, 1889
Europe: 122° Seville, Spain, August 4, 1881
South America: 120° Rivadavia, Argentina, December 11, 1905
Oceania: 108° Tuguegarao, Philippines, April 29, 1912
Antarctica: 59° Vanda Station, Scott Coast, January 5, 1974
South Pole: 8°, December 27,1978
The Guardian newspapar reports that most Britons are still not convinced that climate change is caused by humans.
I'm shocked, frankly, but encouraged. Such independence of thought is
remarkable, considering the massive global warming propaganda onslaught
the British public has endured. Rule, Britannia. Source
