Malloy contends when people claim the global warming theory is
supported by, "an overwhelming number of scientists, (they are
referring to) scientists working under the auspices of the U.N.'s
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that agrees man-made
greenhouse gas emissions are or will (in the future) wreak havoc on the
climate."
He rightfully points out, "head counts of scientists seem to be the name of the global warming game."
If that is the case, 31,000 signatures assembled by the Institute would
seem to trump the 600 or so in the so called IPCC "consensus."
Malloy also notes, "The White House has taken a beating over the years
in the press on climate (and) facts no longer matter."
He says the president is bowing to pressure and not fact on
environmental issues. "The latest move was to list the polar bear as an
'endangered species.' Malloy notes, " there are many more polar bears
today than 40 years ago and predictions of the bear's demise are
entirely based on politically inspired speculation!"
Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain are both riding "global warming
bandwagon," and are urging policies that could radically change our
lifestyles.
"We can't drive our SUV's and eat as much as we want and keep our homes
on 72 degrees at all times and then just expect other countries to say,
'OK,'" Obama said.
We need to remember that Obama is a lawyer, not a scientist. McCain is a retired military man and not a scientist.
(Both, by the way, travel in SUV's, and fly in large private jets).
If these two were sincere they would trash their SUV's, and drive
around in something more economical and fly on commercial airliners.
Malloy says Obama wants to, " regulate the pantries of America, as well
as thermostats and modes of personal transportation. McCain and the
Bush Administration are drinking the same Kool Aid the initial response
from the Bush Administration to relevant new facts seems to be, 'see no
consensus, hear no consensus, speak no consensuses," he concluded.
The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine has been challenging the
theory that you and I are responsible for global warming for several
years with scientific backing that is being ignored by so-called
"mainstream" reporters as well as our elected leaders.
The next time you see an article on global warming, look at the text
and check to see if the reporter did the homework about the topic. In
other words, has he checked sources such as the Oregon Institute of
Science and Medicine to get some "balance" to his story. The fact that
more than 31,000 scientists have put their signatures on a petition
that says there's not enough evidence to support the " theory" you and
I are responsible for warming the planet should make us all think much
more skeptically about the issue.
The Institute has research data showing the current warming trend has
been underway since 1800, starting after the "Mini Ice Age." The use of
engines that emit so-called "hydro-carbons" did not show up until 1899,
the start of the 20th century. The rise in temperatures continues today
at the same pace as it did between 1800 and 1900, a period when there
were few if any man made hydrocarbons.
When I see a petition signed by 31,000 scientists saying, "Man caused
global warming is a hoax," I get more than just a little skeptical
about what my government and their allies in the environmental movement
and the press are telling me.
You should as well.
