It's Raining, It's Pouring, The Subterfuge Is Soaring! Print E-mail

heavy rainfallIf you're keeping score, the latest news on global warming, er, climate change, is heavier, more frequent rainfall. Of course, this new study comes after headlines exclaimed GW would cause more droughts. Confused? Don't be. It's all part of the climate insecurity blanket we are now required to carry.

As one scientist said, "The wet regions will get wetter and the dry regions will get drier." Yep. So if they are wrong with one prediction, they'll still be right. I still don't understand how any  scientist can make such a ridiculous comment without a wink and a nod to the reporter.

And having known a number of journalists in my lifetime, I'll let you in on a little secret: many are sweetly gullible, equate bylines with orgasms, and have an alarmist's grasp of current events.

Below, just a few headlines from the not-too-distant past:

Australia’s Biggest River to Become a Lake
Australia has been hit hard by climate change and has suffered a decade long drought that has been the worst in recorded history.

Wildfires: Out of control
Drought is parching vegetation. Rising temperatures associated with climate change are shrinking mountain snowpacks, giving fire seasons a jump-start by drying out forests earlier in the summer.

WITNESS-Dreaming of a long shower in parched Cyprus
Authorities blame the severity of the drought on climate change which they say has cut rainfall by more than 10 percent over the past three decades.

Warmer weather produces more intense rainfall: study
US and British researchers have confirmed the link between warmer climate and an increase in powerful rainstorms, according to a study.

Environment: Intense rainfall due to global warming could raise ...
Rainfall is expected to increase with global warming because the atmosphere can hold more water as it heats up…
