You may recall how, when Al Gore's speech today was announced, those computer models predicted Denver's high temperature today would reach 94F. As relayed then:

On August 28th, the day Barrack Obama will accept the nomination, the normal high temperature is 83 degrees. Extremes? Our record high temperature for that day, set multiple times — most recently in 1969 — was 94 degrees. 

This came ten days out — not ten decades, like the computer-modelers projections upon which we are to stake our economy. So, now that the day is upon us, how do things look?

The Weather Channel forecast for Denver has today's likely high as . . . 79F.

As they say, there's always a delicate balance between chaos and control . . . this time, Gore missed it by that much.

Draw all of the conclusions about climate prediction, projection, and policy you wish. If it had hit 98F, don't you think Al would do the same?
