Accuweather.com reported on Friday that an Alberta clipper would be coming through the region, spreading accumulating snow from the central Great Lakes into the Northeast. Local weather expert Russ Hobby said the area could break records for precipitation overnight. Currently the amount is at 8.85 inches and it could reach another inch overnight. The record was set in 1900 at 9.83. "We won't break any snow records," he said. "It was at 65.3 in 1969, and we're at 48 inches right now." |

Snow records are being set throughout New England this year and, with
what looks like no end in sight, it could be one of the snowier seasons
on record.
