Jon Stewart debates ‘Snowmageddon’ and global warming - Video

Jon Stewart of Comedy Central’s Daily Show has routinely tackled manmade climate change, usually mocking skeptics. Yesterday Stewart could not deny the irony of the massive snowstorms which have struck the Mid-Atlantic over the past week - watch the video below.

After trying to come up with his own catch phrase for the storms and realizing ‘Snowmageddon’ and ‘Snowpocalypse’ were already being used, Stewart finally settles on calling it the “Unusually Large Snowstorm.”

At a news conference in Nashville on Wednesday, Al Gore presents the unprounceable symbol that is the new name for global warming, climate change, and the climate crisis.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (GL) – Al Gore said Wednesday that the terms “global warming”, “climate change”, and “climate crisis” shall be immediately replaced with an unpronounceable symbol. As he unveiled the new symbol to the media at a press conference in his hometown, the former vice president cited the continued emerging complexity of climate science as the reason for the change in nomenclature.

A Hunky Boy Is Yankee Doodle; Barney Frank sees possible upside (Satire)

In some surprising news, Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) an often vocal member of Congress, extended what many are interpreting as a preemptive gesture to the other side of the aisle. With a Republican win in the Massachusetts special election Senate race, Frank seemed to be conciliatory…something that has unnerved many. “If a Republican had to win the seat…Scott Brown isn’t that bad.”

He quickly added, “Coakley ran an admirable race.”

Harry Reid Blames Recent Controversy on Global Warming (satire)

Aiming to deflect criticism and a call for his resignation by Republicans, Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader, blamed his recent woes on global warming.

Quotes from statements made by Reid during the 2008 presidential campaign were made public over the last 48 hours. Sources say Reid referred to now President Barack Obama as “light-skinned” and having “no Negro dialect.”

'Frozen Gore' returns to Fairbanks, Alaska bigger than ever

He weighs two tons, is six feet tall and spews smoke from his mouth. No, not former vice president and Nobel Laureate Al Gore but rather a huge likeness of him carved out of ice. The infamous ‘Frozen Gore’ ice sculpture has returned to Fairbanks, Alaska and it is better than ever.
